Pay your family and friends directly from your POECU Checking Account
Instructions:
Important Note: POECU’s P2P Payments work only from Checking Accounts.
Go to Online Banking or use our POECU App and Click on Bill Pay
Select “I want to”
Select “Pay A Person”
Enter the Amount to pay
Enter the Name of the person you are sending money to and either their cell phone or email address.
Once you’ve added them they will remain in the system for making future payments without having to re-enter the information
Enter a Memo so the recipient knows the reason for the payment. (ex: lunch / movie ticket / gas etc…)
You will be sent an authentication code through text or email. Select the way you would like to receive it.
Once you receive the code, enter it to authenticate and send the money.
Before the recipient can retrieve the money on their end, they will need to enter a personal code word that you create and send to them (5 - 15 letters, case senstivive)
Make sure you text, call, or email them the correct code to get their payment.
They will receive a text or email (depending on whether you entered their cell phone or email when setting up the payment) so they can fill out how they want to receive the money — either by entering their Routing and Account Number or a Debit Card Number.
It can take up to 48 hours for money to show up in their account.
The money will come out of the senders account immediately.
Note about cancellation: If you send the money, you can only cancel the transaction before the person accepts it.
